David E. Mahr, age 74 passed away on June 10, 2024, at Altercare of Canal Winchester.  Dave was raised in Columbus and graduated from Marion Franklin High School.  Dave loved sports, especially Ohio teams like the OSU Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds, enjoyed spending time and laughs with family and friends, and spending time with his many pets over the years.  Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Mahr.  He is survived by his sister, Paula Schmidt; his nieces, Teresa (Roger) and Christel; nephew, Mike [Terri]; brother-in-law Mike (Becky) Schmidt; great nieces, Caitlin, Courtney, Brenna, Elise, Hailee, and great nephew Jordan.  Visitation will be held at the Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home at 587 Main Steet, Groveport, Ohio, on Monday June 17, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Phil Whittfield officiating.  Dave will be laid to rest following calling hours and the funeral service at Sunset Cemetery.  Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Cat Welfare Association at 741 Wetmore Road, Columbus, Ohio 43214.
