Don E. Back Sr., 68, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018. Don was born April 1, 1949 in Logan, West Virginia. He is preceded in death by the late Patrick and Jarlene Back. Survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Charlene (Spaulding) Back, son Eddy Back Jr. (Lee Anne), and son Michael Back (Christina) of Columbus, Ohio. His sister Patty Cain (Gene) of Grove City, and sister Linda Rayburn (Clyde) of Columbus. Grandchildren Kayla, Taylor (Jacob), Samantha, Moriah, Justin, Michael, Jayden, Raelynn, and Freyah. Many nieces, Paula (John), Rachel, Jane (Josh), Ashley, and many great nieces and nephews. Loving father, papaw, and pastor of Hilock Fellowship Church of 44 years, he devoted his life to bettering the community and those closest to him, we should always remember him for his servants heart. Although his wings were ready, and our hearts were not, he is now fishing down by the river of life forever. As he put it, "If I fail you'll love me, and if you fail I'll love you." Calling hours will be from 2-8 P.M. on Friday, January 19, and the funeral will be Saturday, January 20 at 11 A.M. being officiated by Paul Messer of Marrowbone Creek, West Virginia. Both will take place at Hilock Fellowship Church, 3201 U Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43207. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hilock Fellowship Church.
