Obituary

Donald Eugene Mansfield Jr., age 42, of Warren, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humor and friendships. He found joy in the world around him and shared it generously with the people around him.

Don was born on July 2, 1983, to Donald Eugene Mansfield Sr. and Donna Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his father, whose memory he cherished.

He leaves behind his devoted life partner and fiancé, Trace Cunningham, and his two beloved fur babies, Hudson and Riley. Don is also survived by his siblings Nancy (Brian) Harrington, Robert Suchan, and Jennifer (Quincy) Finley; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends he made along the way.

Don was an avid league bowler, a passionate gamer, and a creative home cook. He loved trying new things in the kitchen and sharing the results with others, and family and friends enjoyed his updates about cooking experiments, bowling highlights, outings with friends, and the occasional craft project.

Nature was another place where he felt most at peace. Whether he was hiking through quiet trails or camping under the stars, he embraced the outdoors with a sense of wonder and gratitude. Those who joined him on these trips knew how much he cherished the fresh air, the open sky, and the chance to slow down.

Bowling was also a defining part of his life—a sport he didn't just enjoy but truly excelled at. His competitive spirit, steady focus, and natural talent made him a standout at the lanes. More importantly, he loved the camaraderie and laughter that came with every game.

Above all, he will be remembered for his generous heart, his easy smile, and the way he made people feel welcome and valued. His presence brought warmth into every room, and his absence leaves a space that cannot be filled. His warmth, humor, and loyalty will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
