Donald Louis Meade, age 85, passed away after a brief illness August 19, 2011. Don was born to the late Dewey and M. Gertrude Meade in St. Louis. He is preceded in death by beloved wife, Berenice; siblings Robert, Wilbur "Buddy," and Jeanette; and grandson, Scott. Don is survived by daughter, Diane (Peter) Fuhlbrigge; sons, Donald Meade, and Dennis (Sandy) Meade; grandchildren, Alaina, Cara, Marianne, Stephanie, Juliette, Don and James; several great-grandchildren and many friends. Don was a U.S. Marine Veteran of WWII and the battle of Iwo Jima. Retired from Anheuser-Busch after 46 years where he was the Columbus Plant Procurement Manager. Don was an avid golfer who loved to go on golf trips with his sons and son-in-law. He enjoyed flying his Cessna single engine 4 seater plane to variety of destinations. He enjoyed traveling; whether it be to various places throughout the globe or camping in natures beauty. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at O. R. WOODYARD CO. Northwest Chapel 2990 Bethel Rd. where service will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Interment Dublin Cemetery.
