Donald R. Smith, age 82, passed away November 2, 2016. Born October 4, 1934 to the late Arthur and Rita Smith. Don was a U.S. Army Veteran, truck driver for 54 years, and member of St. Ladislas Catholic Church. Preceded in death by son, James Smith and brother, Sherman Smith. Don is survived by wife of 38 years, Sandra Smith; children, Donna Smith, Joseph (Carol) Smith, Thomas Smith, Deborah Garcia, Timothy (Raetta ) Smith, and Amy Smith; sister, Regina (Donny) Gray; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family and many dear friends. Visitation will be held, Sunday, November 6, from 2 to 5 pm with a Rosary and shared family memory service at 4:30 pm at the O. R. WOODYARD SOUTH CHAPEL, 1346 S. High Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday November 7, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Ladislas Catholic Church, 277 Reeb Ave., Columbus, OH. Celebrant Father Droll. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Family suggests memorials made in Don's name may be directed to St. Vincent DePaul.
