Donald Boyd Reams, 80, of Pickerington, OH, passed away on July 25, 2026. He was born on March 7, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA.

Don was a devoted fan of sports, with a particular passion for the Dallas Cowboys and the OSU Buckeyes. He dedicated many years to public service, beginning his career as a correctional officer and served in the US Army and Air National Guard for over 35 years. Later, he transitioned to a teaching role within the correctional system, where he took great pride in helping and teaching individuals to better themselves. Don was also a man of deep faith, feeling a strong duty to share the word of God, and served as a part-time pastor. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing cards especially poker. He had a wonderful sense of humor, you could always hear laughter coming from any room he was in.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy "Dottie" Reams; his children, April (Wesley) Holbrook and William Reams; and his cherished grandchildren, Brittany Raines, Sarah Budnick-Harris, Patricia Holbrook, Alycia Holbrook, Dorothy Caudill, Grant McQuilkin, and Nyla Monet Scott. Don also leaves behind his step-children, Kimberly, Chris, and Ernie; 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Don was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Joshua and Alana Reams. Visitation will be held Monday, August 3rd from 3:00 pm until the time of funeral service at 5:00 pm at O. R. Woodyard South Chapel 1346 S. High St. Mark Holbrook officiating.
