Donna Jean Kovach, “Jeanne”;
passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 24, 2026. Born in Columbus, Ohio on May 10, 1945 to Dorothy and John Johnson.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Dorothy and John Johnson (Mawmaw and Pawpaw). She is survived by her children: Michael (Candy) Cooper, Jill Walker & Josh "Heff" Heffernan, Josh (Amy) Cooper. Grandchildren: Harlee (Jonas) Proffitt, Wyatt (Carrie) Cooper, Abigail Walker, Madi Heffernan, Brenna Heffernan, Kennedy Cooper, Griffin Cooper and great granddaughter, Bryce Proffitt. Long time friends Cheryl, Kenny, Jim, Kim, Suzanne & Tony. She is a 1963 graduate of South High School, Columbus, Ohio. She later resided in Westerville, Ohio and after retiring from Nationwide Insurance, resided in Pinehurst, N. C. Where she started her craft business “It’s Always Christmas”.

Her talents were truly one of a kind; the amazing holiday dinners, her drawings, sewing, baking, and crafts. Those that knew her were blessed to have enjoyed the many meals, pies, cakes, cookies, and crafts.

Her love, laughter, and quick one liners, and don’t forget a “bet me” will be dearly missed.

Our family would like to sincerely thank the staff at The Inn at Walnut Trail and the team at Capital City Hospice for caring for her.

Graveside service will be held at 11:30 am. on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
