Doris G. Chaffin Borders age 77 of Columbus, OH entered into her eternal home in Heaven on April 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with Melanoma cancer. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was born October29, 1943 in Tripp, WV to the late Ulysses and Hessie (Fluty) Chaffin. Doris is also preceded in death by her husband Aubrey "Dude" Borders; brother McKinley "Joe" Chaffin; sister, Emma "Jean" French. Doris is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Steve Hensley; step-daughter, Lisa (Ted) Ott; four grandchildren, Valerie (Jeff) White, Megan (Eric) Chemnitz, Stevie (Jordan) Hensley and Shea (Cade) Satterfield; six great-grandchildren, Mia, Lucy, Morgan, Ava, Hayes and Hollis; three sisters, Betty Marcum of Crum, WV, Judy (John) Rosquist of Georgetown, KY, Melisia Maynard of Marysville, OH; two brothers, James (Sue) Chaffin of Genoa, WV and Jeff (Tara) Chaffin of New Matamoras, OH; sister-in-law, Donna Chaffin of West Jefferson, OH; special cousins, Kathy (Larry) Hensley; special friends, Kenny (Robbin) Blackburn as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, cousins and other extended family. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021 at O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 South High Street, Columbus, OH., where funeral service will be held Monday 11 a.m. Pastor Tim Stevens officiating.
