Doris J. Bowshier

HEAVEN HAS RECEIVED ANOTHER ANGEL

Doris, a loving wife, mother. grandmother, and sister passed away

peacefully surrounded by family on May 12, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in

Columbus, Ohio on August 26.1933, to Alphonse and Icie Derouaux. Doris

was a cherished member of our family. She was known for her exceptional

love for all. She is survived by her daughter, Christine McCoy of

Columbus and, son, Larry Bowshier of Lockbourne, Ohio, brothers, Lonnie

Derouaux of Huntsville, Ohio and Alphonse Derouaux of Oregon;

grandsons, Ken McCoy, Brian Rigsby (Stacie), and Kevin Bowshier II;

grandaughters, Michelle (Brian) Huston, Diane Abdelmegid, Angel Rigsby,

Crystal Wilson and Tiffany Bowshier.

Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren,

followed by nieces and nephews and other surviving family members.

She was preceded in death by husband, Wilbur; daughter, Deborah Rigsby;

son, Kevin Bowshier; sons-in-law, Clarence McCoy, and Ray Rigsby;

daughter-In-Law, Kathy Bowshier; grandson, Larry Bowshier Jr.; parents,

Alphonse and Icie Derouaux; mother-in-law, Dorothy Cossin; father-in

-Law, Ernest Bowshier; and sisters, Virginia Noble, Betty Jordan, Bertha

Adams, and Mary Jean Santos.

Doris enjoyed playing Bingo and driving around in her golf cart at Hidden

Lakes Campgrounds in Mount Gilead and Shalamar Creek Park in

Lakeland, Florida where she resided during the winter months.

Visitation for Doris will be held Friday May 16, 2025 from 12:00 noon until time of

service at 1:00 pm at O.R. Woodyard South Street Chapel, 1346 S. High St.

Pastor Wayne Gray officiating. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery
