Doris Roxanne Rogers Smith, born on June 1, 1958, in Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at the age of 68.

Doris enjoyed bingo, trips to the casino, always hoping for a little luck, and motorcycle rides with her late husband, Harold “Jr” Smith. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends during holidays, birthdays and vacations. She lived life on her own terms. Her wild, spunky spirit will be deeply missed by everyone. Her presence will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her children, Laura (Del) Miller, Carl “Dewey” (Tabatha) Rogers, Crissy Weaver, and Jamie (Jeff) Moore; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Ricky Swanson; her cherished and devoted niece, Tammy Ratliff; along with many other beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Ruth Swanson; her husband, Harold “Jr” Smith; her brothers, Robert Swanson, Richard Swanson, and Roger Swanson; and her loving sister, Katheryne Tucker.

Family will be welcoming visitors for a Memorial Service at O. R. Woodyard S. High Chapel, 1346 S. High St., Columbus, Ohio, on Monday, October 19, 2026, from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m., with Pastor Tracy Dague officiating.
