Dorothy Janet Dillman age 104 went home on Tuesday December 3, 2024. Dorothy was born in Minster, Ohio on September 14, 1920, and grew up on a farm outside of Minster. Graduate of Minster High School Class of 1938 and attended Miami Jacobs Business College in Dayton. She worked as a receptionist at Minster Machine until she married her sweetheart, Herman Dillman, after he returned from World War II. Dorothy is preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Amelia (Woehrmyer) Thieman; sister, Bernadette Borchers and husband Herman Dillman. Survived by son, Mike (Tina) Dillman; grandchildren, Anne Dillman, Amelia Dillman and Andrew Dillman; nieces and nephews, Daun (Richard) Sautter, Floyd DeCurtins, Denise Bohardt, Debbie Grieshop, June Parmenter, and Jim Dillman. The family will receive friends at Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home, 587 Main Street, Groveport, Ohio on Tuesday December 10, 2024, from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at St John XXIII Church (The Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish), 5170 Winchester Southern Road, Canal Winchester, Ohio. Father O'Connor Celebrant. Dorothy had a strong faith and was especially devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary. She loved praying the rosary and watching EWTN. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 2:00 pm. at Saint Augustine Cemetery, Minster, Ohio, presided by Deacon Ken Wuebker, longtime friend of son Mike.
