Dorothy Louise Quaintance (nee Scherl), 97, of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away on March 27, 2024.

She was born on March 13, 1927, in Columbus, Ohio.

Dorothy was known for her love of cooking and baking, delighting her family with large German meals,

delicious pies, chocolate cake, cinnamon twist and dozens of Christmas cookies each year. She dearly

loved her family.

She is survived by her children - David (Marsha), Donald (Rhonda), Cheryl (Bob) Bailey, and Laurie (David);

8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by

her husband, Richard; daughter, Karen Sharpe; daughter, Nancy Patterson; and brother, Robert Scherl.

Dorothy was a member of Martin Lutheran Evangelical Lutheran Church for 75 years until it closed and was a

current member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

Services will be held on April 4th, 2024, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church ,530 McNaughten Rd,

Columbus, OH 43213. Visitation will take place from 1-2:30 pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 pm.
