Douglas "Doug" A. Schwindt, age 65, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at his residence. Doug was born June 14, 1957 in Columbus, OH to the late Andrew and Virginia Schwindt. Doug was a graduate of Franklin Heights High School, Class of 1975. He retired after proudly working as a Teamster at Overnite for 35 years. Doug was a faithful member of New Life Christian Fellowship. He also enjoyed spending his time with family, cars, camping and drinking his black coffee. Doug is survived by his wife, Naomi Newell; sons, Derrick (Crystal) Martindale, Phil Schwindt, and Joseph Schwindt; step-sons, Steven White, Christopher White, Eric (Allison) White, and Gabriel (Sam) White; grandchildren, Lydia Hall and Derrick "Scottie" Martindale Jr., Astrid White, Avalyn White and Roman White; great grandchildren, Avery Sprouse and Jackson Sprouse; sisters, Deborah (Avery) Little and Cheryl (Rick) Fellure; nephews, Andrew, Patrick, and Daniel Fellure; numerous family members, loved ones, and many friends. Visitation will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 from 4 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH.
