Doymar Gonzalez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, passed away peacefully at Mount Carmel St Ann's Hospital in Westerville, Ohio, at age 73, surrounded by his family on April 22nd, 2025. Doymar was born on January 27, 1952. He had a long successful career at American Electric Power (Cardinal Plant in Brilliant, Ohio) and retired as an Operations Supervisor in 2010. Outside of his career, he had a love for music especially the Beatles and 60's and 70's rock n'roll and had many hobbies including model trains and puzzles, but most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and pets. Everyone who knew him would know that he was loyal, honest, and straightforward. He had unwavering love for and dedication to his wife, sons, grandchildren, and family. He will be sorely missed, and his absence deeply felt, but he will never be forgotten.

Doymar was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Duerr Gonzalez; father, Raymond Gonzalez; sister, RoseChere Duerr; and grandparents Katherine and Melvin Wingar.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Heidi Gonzalez; two sons, Christian and Antonio (Elizabeth Greier) Gonzalez; his sister, Dahlia (Mark) Stanton; two brothers, Michael and Mark; stepmother Susan Gonzalez; five grandchildren (Jade, Xavier, Ava, Elora, and Jaxson), as well as several nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Visitation will be held at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio on April 29th, 2025 at 11am with service at 1pm. He will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Etna, Ohio.
