Drema Powell, age 83, of Washington Court House Ohio passed away peacefully in her daughter's home April 14th 2026. She made her journey to heaven surrounded by family, love, and, laughter. She was born in Asco, West Virginia, to James and Edith (Clay) Whitson on May 15th, 1942. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Edith (Clay) Whitson, husband, Thurman Powell whom she married August 20th 1959; son, Dennie Powell; three brothers, Arnold, Grady, and James Whitson; two sisters, Elaine Whitson and Sonja Refrow.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Ron) Mader; grandchildren, Ronald Jr (Jessica) Mader, April (Zach) Hockenberry, May Mader; great grandchildren, Ronald lll, and Leila Mader; sister, Joan Lamb; sister-in-law Dolly Whitson; many nieces and nephews.

She will always be loved and held in the hearts forever of those who knew her. In the wise words of Elvis, "There will be peace in the valley" Sincere thanks to Adena Hospice nurses, Jamie and Charlena; aide, Landry; and many more nurses for all who have given Drema the utmost love and care. Visitation for Drema will be Monday April 20, 2026, from 1:00 pm until time of service at 1:15 pm at Lithopolis Cemetery, 4365 Cedar Hill Rd NW, Lithopolis, Oh. 43136.
