Edward "Ed" Paris Emerson Jr. beloved husband, father and "Pop Pop," age 69, passed away at his home in Obetz, OH on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Ed was born February 3, 1956 in Ashland, KY to the late Edward Sr. and Clara Mae Emerson. He was a longtime member of Madison Christian Church and Benfield Christian Church where he loved working with the youth of the church. He also proudly served as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America for 25 years. He owned Ed Emerson & Associates Heating and Cooling, and he retired from Paradigm Properties with over 15 years service. Ed is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Miranda Emerson; sister, Linda Porter. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deborah Emerson; children, Edward (Anita) Emerson III and Shawn (Angie) Emerson Sr.; grandchildren, Corey (Morgan), Codey (Whitney), Angelica (Cody), Kyle (Kendra), Natasha, Donald (Kara), McCulland (Megan), Ben, Chrissy (Mark), Devin, Shawn Jr., Clara, and Logan; great grandchildren, Addison, Allison, Grayson, Jaxon, Luke, Zellie, Zeke, Azrael, Jordan, Ian, Ava, Nevaeh, Elijah, Kayden, Kylie, Ashton, and Naomi; siblings, Claudia Stander and Timmy (Pam) Emerson; special cousins in Sweeney, TX, Dan and Bonnie Flippo; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be Friday, April 4, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Madison Christian Church 3565 Bixby Rd. in Groveport, OH, 43125, where funeral service will be Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11 a.m. Pastors Paul Barnes and Jonathan Barnes will officiate. Interment will follow at Obetz Cemetery in Obetz, OH. Final arrangements entrusted to O.R. WOODYARD CO. SOUTH CHAPEL.
