Elena Josefina Newton Cordero, age 75, passed away on October 24, 2015 surrounded by her family. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina September 26, 1940 to the late Martin Rodolfo Newton and Elena Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by her sister, Julieta Newton. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Leandro Cordero MD; son, Leandro Martin Cordero (Kara), daughter, Josefina Cordero (Donald Jr.) Knapp of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Laurel, Grayson, and Alejandro Knapp of Atlanta, GA; siblings, Martin Rodolfo (Isabel) Newton and Marta Maldonado; brother-in-law, Angel Saul Cordero, all of Argentina; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 28 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at O. R. Woodyard Northwest Chapel 2990 Bethel Rd. Private family entombment Union Cemetery.
