Elizabeth Hill was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Joseph and Annabelle Gardner on October 10, 1933 and departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Elizabeth graduated from Mt. Vernon Avenue High School and loved all things music. She acknowledged God in her life and was a follower of the Baptist faith. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents and her late husband, Elmore Hill. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Barbara (Andrew) Tate; grandson, William Darnell Collins, I; great-grandchildren, Taylor Collins and William Darnell Collins, II; sister, Barbara Calhoun; niece, Monica "Penny" Poole; nephews, Donnie Calhoun, Dean Joyce, Kevin Joyce, and a host of grandnephews, grandnieces and other relatives and friends, and special friends at McNaughton Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Greater Twelfth Baptist Church, 1561 Cleophus Kee Blvd. Pastor Dorian Grant officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service.
