Ella C. Tipton, age 75, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born November 11, 1943 in Portsmouth, OH to the late Prentiss and Edith Ratliff. Proudly served in the U.S. Army. Retired from Columbus City Schools as a cafeteria manager. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God In Jesus Name of Columbus. Preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Buford Tipton; son, Steven Tipton; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Survived by sons, Timothy and Mark Tipton; grandchildren, Tyler, Kylie, and Haley; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Friends may call Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the O.R.
