Ellis E. Pinkerton Jr., age 81, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on October 22, 1944 in Louisa, Kentucky to the late Ellis Pinkerton Sr. and Virginia Pinkerton.

He is preceded in death by siblings; Mabel Reeves, Wilber Pinkerton, and Betty Herdman.

Ellis is survived by his wife and companion of 52 years, Karen Pinkerton; son, Derrick (Amber) Pinkerton; grandchildren, Dylan Pinkerton and Keela (Ryan) Mackley; great grandchildren, Jayden, Hayden, and Kysen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Ellis was a hard worker and an avid Michigan fan. Go Blue!
