Obituary

Emma Lou Knapp, age 89, passed away Tuesday May 5, 2026, at The Landings of Westerville. Emma was born on August 19, 1936 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Willie and Elizabeth (Sturgill) Ramey. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Knapp; son, John Knapp; grandchildren, Elizabeth "Nikky" Bayes, Deborah Ann Mullins, and David Allen Mullins; great grandchildren, Anna Mullins and Braiden Anthony Ray Johnson; brothers, William, John, and Donald Ramey, and Martin Luther and Danny Smith; sisters, Dora Ramey and Francis Nagy; son-in-law, Donald Mullins, daughter-in-law, Nancy Gibson Knapp, sister-in-law, Sue Ramey; great nephew Jesse Ratcliff. Emma is survived by her children, Barbara (Randy) Burns, Deborah Mullins, Billy Knapp; close grandchildren, Nicholas and Daniel Bayes and 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Joann), and Roy Ramey; sisters, Elizabeth (Gregory) Qualls, and Sharon Ramey Page; brother-in-law, Fred Negy; nieces, Michele Bush, Carol Riley, and Olivia Ratcliff, many other nieces and nephews, and friends. Visitation for Emma will be Sunday May 10, 2026, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at O.R. Woodyard South High St. Chapel 1346 S. High St. Columbus, Oh, 43207, where funeral services will be held Monday May 11, 2026, Pastor Troy Justice officiating. Interment Harrison Township Cemetery.
