Evalena "Kate" Freeman, age 83, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at Sterling Place. Born July 6, 1930 in Flint, MI, to the late Sylvester and Tillie Nelson. Also, preceded in death by husband, Jimmie; daughter-in-law, Nathale "Joyce" Freeman; grandchildren, Thomas Freeman Jr. and Lisa Pack; great granddaughter, Amber Pack; great- great grandson, Jacob Pack; sister, Barbara Miles; brothers, Herschel, Earnest, J.D., and Henry Nelson. Survived by sons, Thomas Freeman and Larry (Claudia) Freeman; sister, Ada Wiseman; grandchildren, Deborah (Mike) Holycross, Cheryl, Larry (Rue) and Ryan (Brittney) Freeman; 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Member of Pentecostal Church of God. Retired from Owen-Illinois (Techni-glass) after 25 years of service. Visitation will be held Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. at MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main St., Groveport. Funeral service will be Wednesday 12 noon at Pentecostal Church of God, 1101 Obetz Rd.
