Evan Blake Braughton, 35, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 19, 2026 after ongoing health issues. He was born on July 10, 1991, in Columbus, Ohio. Evan was a deeply family-oriented individual with a great sense of humor, who never knew a stranger. He lit up any room he entered and had the biggest, most loving personality. He was a loving father, son, and brother, and a fun uncle to his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his father, Joe Braughton; his mother, Eva Vasilopoulos–Braughton; his daughter, Gabriella; his son, Sammy; his siblings, Ashley (Adam), Andrea (Tim), Joel (Kia), Alexandra (Eli), and Brandon (Kaylee); his nephews, Oliver, Roman, and Tyler; his niece, Evaline; his grandfather, Edward Braughton Sr.; his close uncle, Eric Braughton; and many other relatives and a host of friends. Visitation will be held Friday, August 28 from 9:30 am until the time of funeral service at 11:00 am at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral 555 N. High St. Columbus, Ohio. Interment Union Cemetery.
