RATLIFF Everett "Shorty" Ratliff, age 79 passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Grant Hospital. Shorty retired from Groveport Madison Schools after 25 years of service. Lifelong musician since age 7, he enjoyed playing Mandolin. Sound technician for years at various bluegrass festivals. Preceded in death by parents, Alex and Creasey Ratliff; sister, Ruby Meade. Survived by loving wife of 40 years, Dollie; children, Larry, Gary, Crecy (Mike), Cathy (John) and Dwyane (Valerie); 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson; brother, Ora Ratliff; sister, Bessie Jackson; many nieces, nephews, and host of family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday 2 to 8 pm. at O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., where funeral service will be held Wednesday 11 am. Reverend David Kamer officiating.
