Obituary

Frankie Munson of Reynoldsburg, Ohio transitioned peacefully on the morning of April 1st, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Frankie, was born in Lizella, Georgia on February 8, 1930, to Blanche and William Sanders. Frankie's father owned and managed the town store. During the depression, from her father she learned generosity, kindness and forgiveness, traits she would exhibit her entire life.   Her parents were Co-founders of the Lizella Baptist church where her talented mother played the piano on Sundays for 40 years. Frankie became a Christian in that church, the most important decision she ever made. She had three brothers all of whom served the nation. Her oldest brother was a fighter pilot during WWII and she was forever grateful for his safe return.

Frankie attended the University of Georgia where she met a handsome New Yorker returning from World War II. Sometime during 1949, she overheard that handsome young man, Raymond F. Munson, working hard to make ends meet on the GI Bill. He was searching for opportunities to find food and fun at a low price. Demonstrating attributes observed in a 21st century woman, Frankie stepped right-up, identified the place and took him there. Ray and Frankie were inseparable for the next 73 years.

Frankie worked for years in Physical Distribution for the Limited Corporation. 3 separate times she was the Limited's employee of the year. She possessed extraordinary leadership and organizational skills.

Frankie's passion was her family. Her shining example; live every day as if it were your last and live without fear. Her strength and pleasant demeanor was a great blessing.

Frankie is survived by: children William and Cathy; grandchildren Nick, Mike and Jordan; great grandchildren Sullivan, Archer, Logan, Lyla, Jemma and many, many friends.
