HOLBROOK Franklin "Delano" Holbrook, age 83, went Home to Heaven on Saturday, December 10, 2016. He met his best friend Jesus face to face and reunited with his beautiful wife, Joyce. Also preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Lucy (Kelly) of Webbville, Kentucky; brothers, Walter "Buddy", Herman and Eugene (Ellen); sisters, Irene (Denver), Kathleen (Curtis) and Emestine (Rumes); mother-in-law, Eileen Ball; brother-in-law, James Daniel. Survived by daughters, Sheila D. Collier and Kim (Jeff) Barry; grandchildren, Jaclyn, Kaila (Dylan), Kenneth Kyle, Jacob Joseph "Jake" and Jeniffer Paige "Jena"; 2 great grandsons, Jayden and Dominic; nephews, Gary (Linda), Herman Jr. (Cynthia) and Darrell; nieces, Lois, Judy (Gene), Emorietta (Kelly), Barbara Jeanetta (Mike) and Carolyn (John); great nieces and nephews; Dylan, wonderful grandson-in-law with the beautiful smile and loving sister-in-law, Patty J. Daniel; special friends, Penny Tussey, Dennie (Ailene) Hall, Pat Barry, Dave Wycuff, Ken Smith and the Grace Care Team. His family/friends and church knew him as "Delano". He was a faithful member of Grace Ministries. As a co-worker he was known as "Frank". He retired from Roadway Express and previously worked at Anderson Concrete and American Standard. As a resident at Senior Home Choice care facility he was "Mr. Frank" or "Mr. GQ". He was always looking good and smelling wonderful. Special appreciation to the wonderful staff for their loving care during this past year (Leahna, Valon, Sheniqua, Cindy and Trina from the beginning of his stay to his Home-going). Special thanks to Steph and Pasha. Special thank you to Kindred Hospice Care; each nurse and aide, Chaplain Len and Social Worker Matt. Visitation will be Friday, December 16, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL 1346 S. High Street Columbus, OH. 43207 where the funeral service will be Saturday 12 Noon.
