Fred Altevogt age 66, passed away Sunday August 15, 2021 at Kobacker House. Born in Columbus, Ohio on March 27, 1955. Fred graduated from Licking Height High School Class of 1973. Started his working career as a vet tech because of his love for animals; he went on to retire from Hamilton Township Fire Department as Captain in 2001. Owner of Greater Columbus Antique Mall. Preceded in death by parents, Lloyd and Jane (nee McCall) Altevogt and great granddaughter Khloe. Fred is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia; sons: Tony Gilliam and Mikey (Rachael) Gilliam; daughter Davida "Heidi" (Todd) Peters; along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Visitation will be held at Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home (587 Main St. Groveport, OH 43125) on Sunday, August 22 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral Service will be held Monday at 12 PM. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. To honor Fred's memory, the family welcomes donations to the Kobacker House as an expression of love instead of flowers as a tribute to his life well lived.
