Frederick "Gabe" W. Gabriel went to be with the Lord November 3, 2020 on his 31st wedding anniversary to his wife Margaret McDonald Gabriel. Born in 1940 to the late Frederick W. Gabriel and Ruth Bender Gabriel in Johnstown, PA. Graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School class of 1957. While serving in the U.S. Airforce, Gabe was stationed Iceland. Retired Roadway in 1998 and a member of the Teamsters for over 30 years, Local 413 and previously W. Virginia Local 175. Gabe started ushering at Jerome D. Schottenstein Center in 1998 and Nationwide Arena in 2000. He has been honored in both for 20 years of service and never missed a CBJ game attending 763 consecutive home games. While he was proud of that record Gabe wishes someone will eventually beat his record. He will always be a member of the 5th Line. He is survived by wife, Margaret; children, Teresa and Jeff both of Charleston, WV. Visitation will be held Monday, November 9, from 10 am until the time of funeral service at 12 noon at O. R.
