Gary L. Hanes, age 61, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on May 16, 2011. Gary was a Whitehall volunteer EMT and employed at Lucent in security. Preceded in death by parents Don and Alberta Hanes and sister Rita H. Jones. Survived by loving wife, Patricia of 22 years; sisters, Eva (Okey) Smith, Donna McLaughlin; brothers, William (Debbie) Hanes and Trent Hanes; and many close nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be May 20, from 5-8 p.m. at O. R. WOODYARD CO. EAST CHAPEL, 2300 E. Livingston Ave. Service to be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. followed by interment.
