George Paul Burke Sr., age 84, of Grove City Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on July 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 10, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Anita B. (Rinehart) Burke and Charles W. Burke.

George was a proud member of the AA community, celebrating 8 years of sobriety. He loved fishing, weekend car rides with his son John, he took pride in and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is known for his friendly nature, George never met a stranger and was a friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Francis "Molly" Burke; sons George Burke Jr. and Jeffery Allen Burke; Grandson Colton Burke and brother Rob Burke.

He is survived by his sons Charles "Ed" (Lisa) Burke and John Burke; sisters Linda (Bill) Thoris, Barbara (Jim) Burke-Munsell, and Susan (Bucky) Bricker; brother Steve Burke; grandchildren Corey (Carissa) Burke, Chase Burke, Connor (Summer) Burke, and Rachelle Wilson (Ace Lansing), C J Whited, and Zachary Burke; daughter-in-law Katrina Burke; niece Lyndsay Bricker; great-grandchildren Creed Orion Allen Lansing; Mila Burke; Brooklyn Burke; Cohen Burke; Daxton Burke; Rylan Burke; Caden Burke; Caccius Burke; Skilynn Miller, dear friend Mike Sandrea; Ava (Arthur) Pietrowski; special friend and caregiver Sherry Clifton; and many other extended family members and friends.

George will be remembered for his strength, humor, and the love he gave to everyone around him.

Visitation will be Wednesday July 23rd from 1pm until time of service at 3pm at the O.R WOODYARD COMPANY CHAPEL 1346 S. High Street Columbus, Ohio 43207. Service will also be live streamed on their website (www.orwoodyard.com) for those who would like to attend but can't make it.
