Gerry Stokes, age 92, of Berwick, passed away February 10, 2020. She was born November 17, 1927 in Columbus Ohio. She graduated from East High School. She retired after 43 years with the School Employee Retirement System. She met Robert Stokes and they were married for many years. Robert preceded her in 2009. She is survived by her loving son, Robin Stokes. He has been a central part of the Stokes family and as Robin counted on many needs from his parents, he has helped with his mother's care the last few years. Gerry will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by brother, Louis "Norman" Leist; sister in law, Jane Cenci. Gerry has a cousin, Dick and his wife, Ramona Leist and other family and friends. Visitation will be held at WOODYARD EAST CHAPEL, 2300 E. Livingston Ave. Wednesday February 19, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1555 S. James Rd. Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Dave Shull officiating. Internment will follow at Glen Rest Cemetery.
