VANDERPOOL Gloria Jean Vanderpool, age 70, went home to be with the Lord Monday, October 27, 2014. Longtime employee of St. Rita's Nursing Home and Mother Angeline McCrory Manor. Preceded in death by husband, Clarence Thornton; sister, Madonna Vanderpool. Survived by children, Bryan (Kathy) Vanderpool, Charles (Linda) Thornton, Cheryl Vanderpool and Kristi Thornton; grandchildren, Brandy, Zachary, Megan, Makayla and Jacob; brother, William Spradlin; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL 1346 S. High Street from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. where the funeral service will be Friday 11 am.
