Grover
Hunt, Jr.
Apr 21, 1970 — Feb 2, 2025
Grover Hunt Jr, age 54, formerly of Pataskala, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025. He was was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.
Grover was a yard tech, lube tech, customer service advisor, and he unloaded trucks. He was a guy that if you asked for help, he would be right there to help you out any time of the day or night. He was a former employee for Ricart Automotive and Sundowner Trailers. Grover was a current 16 year employee of Wal-Mart, working in the TLE/Service department. He loved NASCAR, football, radio controlled (RC) cars, and going to race tracks. He was a huge 49ers fan. He was particular about his stuff--when he used something, he would put it up the way it came. He loved going to RC tracks, and hanging out with the gang was one of his favorite things to do. Grover loved spicy noodles, chili, hot dogs, any type of sausage, hot sauce, and cookouts, but the one thing he hated was cheese. One day Grover was asked what about cheese on a pizza? He said: "you can't taste it!!" lol. He would drive his mamma around on Fridays, going from store to store. He had multiple nicknames, but one nickname his mamma would call him was Chester, and his sister, Miss Kitty, based off a western TV show, so they had a lot of good times at home. Chester, Miss Kitty, and Mamma would watch all the game shows, one of their favorite being Family Feud. On his days off, he loved cleaning his car and making it shine.
He was loved by so many people.
Grover was proceeded in death by his father, Grover Hunt Sr., and step-dad Bert Britt. He is survived by his mother, Lula Hunt; his siblings, Lula Byrum, Barbara (Tony) Osborne, Georgiana (Matt) Adams, and Kelly Hunt Jr. (Stephanie) Britt; his nephews and nieces, Samantha Willis, Slade Mack Chelsea Crabtree, Amber Crabtree, Nick Crabtree, Hunter Byrum, Brayden, Braxton, Addy, Clay, and Paul Osborne; and special friends, Maysonya Roberts and kids, Ruth Melaragno, Billy Sparadlin, and Stephanie Davie.
A special thanks to family, friends, coworkers, RC and track friends.
