Grover C. Ooten, age 67, born September 15, 1944 in Mingo County, WV, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Grant Medical Center after a long illness. Grover loved fishing and going to his grandchildren's sporting events at Schiller Park, Sills Park, St. Mary's and Bishop Ready. Member of Bricklayers Local #55 and worked as a bricklayer for over 50 years Retired from Kenny Huston Co. after over 25 years of service. Preceded in death by parents Rush and Bessie (Marcum) Ooten, daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Mark Hufferd. Survived by wife of nearly 48 years, Deborah "Debbie" Ooten; grand-children, Elizabeth "Izzy" and Matthew "Boomer" Hufferd; siblings, Bertha (Carl) Mullins of KY, Pearl (Mike) Frankhauser of WV, Vicky (Jerry) Beeman of FL, and Wallace (Connie) Ooten, Bessie (Jeff) Jones, John Ooten, Kathy (Aaron) Lehman, and Anita Fair, all of Columbus, OH; special dog, Sunny; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
