Gust N. Damopoulos passed from this life to the next on May 20th, 2026. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Nicholas and Georgia Damopoulos, and by his sister, Sarafima. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Regina (Evans) Damopoulos; his loving daughter, Elana (Chris) Lenihan; and his cherished grandchildren, Sophia and Lukas Lenihan; niece Melisa Massie; many other nieces and nephews; God children and many dear friends.
Gus dedicated 55 years of his life to working as an auto mechanic. He was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help anyone in need. He was also a proud graduate of Franklin Heights High School, Class of 1971. He was a faithful and devoted member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Gus served for many years in the altar, where he lovingly mentored generations of altar boys and remained deeply committed to his church community and faith.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 26th from 5-8pm at O.R. Woodyard South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday May 27th from 9:30am until the time of the funeral service at 10:30am at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 555 N. High Street. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
