Harold E. "Ed" Brady, age 84, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014, in Waxhaw, N.C. Ed was born 5 July, 1930 in Portsmouth, Ohio a son of the late Foster and Gladys Martin Brady. Ed retired following 20 distinguishing years in the U.S. Air Force and retired from his second career as the Assistant Manager of the State Transportation Employees Credit Union in 1986. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Pollyann Justice Brady, children Robert Brady and Mary Heldreth Brady. Also preceded in death by siblings William "Bill" Brady, Betty Davis, Ruth Lewis and Janet Hensley. Survived by son, John (Sharon) Brady of Waxhaw, N.C.; Daughter Betty Brady of Atlanta, GA, son-in-law Mike (Claudia) Heldrith of Charlotte, N.C.; 7 Grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call the Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home, 587 Main St. in Groveport Ohio from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 where the funeral service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment Walnut Hill Cemetery.
