Hazel Ruth Kitchen, 80, of Westerville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 2, 2025. She was born on October 8, 1944, in Naugatuck, WV, the daughter of the late Rush and Launa Muncy.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Lester Kitchen; their son, Ricky Pernell; four sisters, Margie, Opal, Beulah, and Ruby; and four brothers, Johnny, Earl, Riley, and Alva. Hazel was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent her life caring for her family and friends, worshiping God, and making those around her laugh. She loved getting her hair and nails done, watching her favorite TV shows, and looking at Christmas lights. She is survived by her two granddaughters, Stephany (Philip) Roseberry and Jessie Kitchen; sister, Rosie (Tom) Hartmann; brother, Tom (Merlyn) Muncy; two sisters-in-law, Diana and Rosanna Kitchen; brother-in-law, Walter Robinson; many nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored. Visitation for Hazel will be Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a brief prayer service given by Chaplain Joe Augello at 5:30 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH. Hazel will be laid to rest on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Troy Maynard Family Cemetery in Dunlow, WV. 2 Timothy 4:7 - Ihavefoughtthegoodfight,Ihavefinishedtherace,Ihavekeptthefaith.
