Hazel Mae Nalley, age 86, passed away on July 30, 2026. Born August 29, 1939 in Newell, WV to the late Alfred and Stella Smith. Hazel worked in several fields over the years, but the majority of her working years she worked in property management.

Hazel is preceded in death by beloved husband, James Lee Nalley; son, Mark Allen Nalley; and siblings, Helen and Dale. Hazel is survived by son, James B Nalley; daughter, LeeAnn VanGundy; grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Nalley and Ricky, Ryan, Josh, and Justin VanGundy; several great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She enjoyed spending time with family, relaxing in the sun with her dog Benji, as well as crossword puzzles and cooking.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2026, 12:00 pm - 1:30 PM at O. R. Woodyard Co South Chapel, 1346 South High Street

with a graveside service to follow at Fernwood Cemetery at approximately 2:00 pm
