Helen Darlene Sanford, age 88, passed away on June 19, 2026. Born on April 28, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio to Julius and Daisy Hodge.

Helen was employed with Hyatt Regency Hotel for many years before retiring. She was preceded in death by parents, Julius and Daisy Hodge; brothers, George and Melvin Hodge; sisters, Roberta West, Thelma Hodge, Mary Battle, and Betty Jean Jackson; husband, Pete Sanford; grandson, Marcus Hodge Jr.

Helen leaves to cherish her memories, loving sons; Darryl Hodge and Marcus Hodge; sister, Anita Reddy and Unita Hill; care giver, Sharon Hayes and her family that took extra good care of Helen; host of family and friends.

Helen will be sadly missed by all who loved her.

Family will receive friends at O. R. WOOYARD CO., South High Chapel, 1346, S High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207 on Monday, July 6, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. to remember and share memories of Helen's life.
