Herbert Lee Darfus, age 87, passed away at home with his loving wife by his side on November 7, 2024. Born January 5, 1937 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Albert and Betty Darfus. Herbert served in the United States Marine Corp. Herb was an avid outdoorsman, he ran several marathons and enjoyed going caving and spelunking. In retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and playing bingo and cards.

Herb is preceded in death by grandson Jeffrey McCullouch Jr., stepchildren; Linda (Dave) Kovanda, Thomas E (Duke) Shepard III and Christina Marie Shepard (Tony). He is survived by wife, Julia Darfus, children, Denise (Ron) Anfone, Deanna Kitchen, Tonya (Jeff) McCullouch, and Terry Darfus; stepson, Scott (Marcia) Shepard; brothers, Paul (Gwen) Darfus and Bob (Carolyn) Darfus; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 14 from 10 am until the time of service at 12 noon at O. R. Woodyard South Chapel 1346 S. High St. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
