In loving memory of Imogene "Jean" Nora Phillippi who passed away on November 18, 2019 at the age of 84 at her home in Powell, OH. Jean was born on August 7, 1935 in Bryson City, NC to the late Mack and Cora (Duvall) Golden. After coming to Ohio as a young woman, she met and married Stanley Howard Phillippi, her loving and devoted husband of 56 years. She worked many years at Columbus State Community College as Assistant Registrar of Admissions and both started and ended her working career as the Executive Assistant to the President of Swan Cleaners, retiring in 1983. Jean is survived by her husband, Stan; her daughter, Janine (Roland) Roy of Powell, OH; her grandsons, Chad (Liz) Roy of Dublin, OH and ZT Roy of Powell, OH; her sister, Colene Ogle of Bryson City, NC; her sister-in-law, Kaye (Jim) Niebel of North Canton, OH; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Stan's and her newborn son; her sisters, Evanell Fredell and Mary Ruth Grant and her brothers, Adam Golden and Bob Golden. Jean made friends wherever she went. She loved to travel, pair that with a love of the ocean and she had many fun-filled vacations. She cruised to Hawaii, through the Panama Canal and many Caribbean and Mexican destinations. Jean was a wonderful self-taught oil painter. She loved to sew. Her home was something she was proud of and greatly enjoyed, creating beautiful flower gardens and watching the birds and other wildlife that wandered into her yard. Most of all, her family meant everything to her. She adored her grandsons and granddogs. ZT always said Meme gave the best hugs! Jean will be missed and loved forever by her family.
