Irene (Breckler) Fagan, born Nov 18,1930, daughter of Victor and Anna Breckler. She is survived by her husband of 73 yrs., James Robert Fagan; daughter, Ann Smith; son-in-law, Terry Smith; grandchildren, Dori, Eileen, Laura (Tim) and Kenneth; great granddaughter, Autumn; sister-in-law, Cathy (Breckler); and brother-in-law, Tom Maurer.  Irene has joined her brothers and sisters, Joseph, Wen, Victoria and Mary in peace. Irene enjoyed an active life, singing with Bob in the Columbus Symphony Chorus, traveling widely throughout USA, Canada, The British Isles, Germany, France and Italy. At home she became well known as a creator of excellent dishes, such as cabbage rolls for the St. Mary's annual smorgasbord and delightful cinnamon rolls each spring for a fund raiser for the  Altar Rosary Society. Irene was a natural leader, serving as president of the Altar Rosary Society and the Electrical Engineers Ladies Auxiliary. Visitation will be Tuesday May 28, 2024 at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME 587 Main Street in Groveport from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 29th, 1 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church 5684 Groveport Rd., Groveport, OH 43125. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
