Irene Emogene Rose, age 86, passed away Monday January 20, 2025, peacefully at her home surrounded by loving family. She was born on May 28, 1938, to the late Anthony and Effie Sanson in Majestic, Kentucky. Irene was a long time employee of Caskey Cleaners. Irene is preceded in death by her husband, of 44 years, Jerry Dean Rose and son, Randal Rose; brothers, Kenneth (Bethal), Eugene (Pricy), and Jasper Sanson; sisters, Janlee (Lloyd) Whitt, Dorothy (Carl) Wolford, and Othella (Cecil) Daughtery; sister-in-law, Geraldine Sanson. She is survived by her Daughters, Sandra (Bill) Sweazy and Carol Rose (James Chapman); grandchildren, Joshua (Tiffany) Hoffman, Alesha Rose (David Shephard), Mark (Karen) Sanson, Jessica Giddens, Joselin Powell, Charles Knece, Jerry Rose, Randy and Travis Sweazy, and Sara Burchett; great grandchildren, Jayonna Collins, Breonna, and Ellieonna Hoffman, Jasper Burchett, Noah, Lexi, and Rayla Giddens, Madison, Landyn and Zoe Sanson; brothers, Frank (Betty) Sanson and Wayne Sanson; sister-in-law, Leona Sanson; special nephew Carl Gene Wolford. many nieces nephews and friends. Visitation for Irene will be Monday January 27, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at O.R. Woodyard Co. South High St. Chapel 1346 S. High St. Columbus, Oh. 43207. Where services will be held Tuesday January 28, 2025, at 11:00 am. Pastor Jim Vittek officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery.
