Iva Mae Blackmon, who went by  Mae, age 93, passed away on August 23, 2024. Mae was born on October 10, 1930 in Huntsville, Alabama to Arthur and Lula (Fitch) Pendergraft. Mae worked as a technician for her friend at a vet clinic, but she was known for her love of children--she raised so many! She was married for 67 years to Emery Denton Blackmon, who passed in 2015.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband, Emery; her brothers, James Pendergraft, and Arthur D. Pendergraft, Jr.; and her sister, Louise Morris. She is survived by her brother, Larry Pendergraft, her sons, Chris (Jo Ann) Blackmon, and Wayne (Barbara Berry) Blackmon; her grandchildren, Kenneth Blackmon, Stephanie Blackmon, Robert Blackmon, and Cynthia Stone; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 12 PM - 2 PM at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM at the funeral home, with Pastor John Ennis officiating. Burial follows at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
