James S. Bailey was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was born to George and Sarah Bailey on May 2nd, 1947. He served the U.S. Army throughout Vietnam. James later became a truck driver, retiring from UPS after 30 plus years. James and Juanita were happily married for 44 years. During these years he became "man of the family". Always generous with his time, he helped neighbors, and was quick to support his family and especially enjoyed celebrations. James loved parties, music, dancing and the company of friends and family.

James passed peacefully at the age of 76 on July 27th, 2023, after battling dementia. James was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Bailey; parents, George and Sarah Bailey; and brothers, Edwin Bailey, Arnold Bailey, brother-in-law Hugh Mcintire, sister-in-law, Helen Bailey. His memories will live on by those survived by him; son, Jim (Angela) Hayostek; stepdaughter, Phyllis Robnet; brothers, Ronald Bailey and Richard (Jeanne) Bailey; sisters, Nancy (George), Viola (Mike), Marion, and Karen (Bill); grandchildren, Dawn (Gary), Tristan, Shane & Lily, great granddaughter, Aimee (Joey); great-great grandchildren, Aubrey, Dayne & Pauly.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 12 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main St. in Groveport, OH.
