James D. Chapman, age 71, was a resident of Canal Winchester. He was born on November 20, 1945 in Columbus to the late Paul and Lorena Chapman. James died on June 11, 2017 after a lengthy illness of heart disease and kidney failure. Graduate of Hamilton Twp. High School class of 1963. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri Lynn Chapman and brother, Paul Jr. James is survived by his wife of 54 loving years, Kathleen; daughter, Traci Chapman; son, James Jr.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. James is also survived by his sisters, Romona (Charles) Lynch and Phyllis Galloway; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends and family. He worked at the A.E.P. Picway Power Plant for 30 years. James enjoyed working in the yard and going to Las Vegas. Friends may call at the MYERS-WOODYARD CHAPEL, 587 East Main St, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, June 14.
