James Jeffrey Coleman, Jr: father of 8 beautiful children and a great friend to most, was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 22 nd , 1984 and sadly passed away at the young age of 40 on July 4 th , 2024 in Columbus, Ohio. James was a graduate of George Westinghouse Vocational and Technical High School and he also studied at American Military University. One of his greatest accomplishments was being accepted for the United States Secret Service before his illness. James loved his kids and enjoyed spreading and preaching his beliefs about life and religion. James was a very flashy person and enjoyed things like creating his own cologne, expensive jewelry and dressing nicely. He also enjoyed music and his favorite genre was Hip-Hop and he even recorded a few songs himself. James was very generous and loved to give and help others that were close to him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Daphne Darnette Jones and James Jeffrey Coleman, Sr., and his sister Summer. He is survived by his ex-wife of 16 years, Kenia Hernandez, daughters: Kelise, Jaila, Kandace and Kassi; sons: Julius, Jaiden, Krystian and Justin Coleman; brothers: Marc Jones and Jeffrey Coleman, grandmother Emily Jones and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 11 from 3:00 pm until time of funeral service at 4:30 pm at O. R. Woodyard South Chapel 1346 S. High St.
