James E. Courts Jr., age 56, went to be with the Lord suddenly Friday, February 26, 2021 at home. Born in Columbus, Ohio September 28, 1964 to James E. and Arla Courts Sr. Graduated from West High School Class of 1983. Worked for Huntington Bank for over 24 years. Current Pastor of Sonshine Mission. James loved reading the Bible, fishing, drawing and photography. Jim or Jimmy, as he was called by his family and friends, enjoyed spending time with everyone. Preceded in death by mother, Arla Jane Courts; grandparents, Earl and Evelyn Moore and Russell Courts Sr.; nephew, Jeffrey Alan Goolsby Jr.; multiple aunts, uncles and cousins. Survived by loving wife of 25 years, Cheriolyn "Cheri" Courts; grandmother, Josephine Courts; father, James E. Courts Sr.; sister, Janice (Jeffrey) Goolsby; niece, Jennifer (Kevin) Goolsby-Clay; step-children, Trudy (Nate) Bertram, Diana Heischman and Jeffrey (Natasha) Ritttenhouse; 11 grandchildren and great grandson; sister-in-law, brother-in-law, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
