James "Tom" Gentry, age 59, passed away on November 3, 2020 surrounded by his family at OSU Hospital. Known by many as "poppy", he was born April 17, 1961 to his parents, the late Walter and Vada Gentry in Williamson, WV. Tom worked in masonry and was a bricklayer for many, many years, but he could do almost anything. He was a jack-of-all-trades. He was a big Bengals fan, and especially enjoyed time together with his family, especially his grandchildren & great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jerry and Bruce Gentry, and nephew, Brandon Gentry. Survived by his children, Hillary Shepherd, Crystal Gentry, and Christopher (Cody) Gentry; grandchildren, Destiney Shepherd, Brianna Shepherd, Jayden Rock, Caleb Rock, Kaiden Smiar, and Landon Gaskins; great-grandson, Jordan Hopkins; Brother, Roger (Cindy) Gentry; sister, Diana Druck; nieces, Chrissy, Jessica, nephews, Chad, & Derrick; and many other great nieces & nephews, cousins, and extended family. Family and friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. 1346 S. High St. Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 5-7 pm.
