James A. Hamrick age 83 of Bexley, passed away August 1, 2015. He was born December 3, 1931 to the late Charles and Mildred Backus Hamrick. He was a graduate of West High School; playing on the baseball team. Alumni of The Ohio State University, with B.S. in Agriculture. U. S. Army Veteran during Korean War. Member of the Masonic Lodge, Royal York Lodge 155. Member and awarded Kiwanian of the year. President of the Hamrick- Jones Cancer Ray, a non profit association. Member of Christ Lutheran Church of Bexley. He was preceded in death by a loving wife of 42 years, Marcia Herr Hamrick, who passed away in 2000. Survived by brother, Charles "Roger" and wife, Janis Harvey Hamrick; brother-in-law, Jim McCoskey, brother-in-law Jack Herr and sister-in-law Carolyn Herr; other good friends and caregivers, Maggie Lyons and Shirley Paine; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
